Born and bred in the Waipa, I have been part of the Sport Waikato team since early 2013. I have a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Physical Education and Health). Following a short stint of teaching, and five years working with the awesome Energize Team, I have recently taken on a new role as the Play.Sport Project Integration Lead for the Waikato.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring together my passion for working with young people and seeing the positive impact that living a healthy, active lifestyle can have in all areas of their lives. I am looking forward to working with and co-designing an initiative in the Waikato that will enhance our Energize programme and help our schools to further improve the quality of physical education, sport, physical activity and play experiences for their students.
In my spare time I love to be active in the outdoors- running, mountain biking and getting to the beach with my two energetic dogs!
